Founded in 1983, CUS (or Comp-U-Solve as it was called at the time) began as a general computer consulting firm, specializing in custom programming and accounting software solutions for businesses. CUS quickly found a niche in the auction industry when approached by Thomas Industries, a machinery & industrial auction firm from Connecticut. After trying to find usable software to assist them in running their auctions, in 1984 they commissioned CUS to create a customized solution for them. The resulting software has evolved into the most widely-used Auction Management System in the industry.
